The XCP technology has been in the headlines recently because of its stealthy nature and how it can leave your computer vulnerable to attacks even if it has been removed. It is difficult to understand why Sony went to all this trouble in the first place to enforce their artists' copyrights using such a questionable method. This kind of consumer backlash shows we are entering a new era of the digital age where it is no longer safe to assume users are all technically challenged any more.
